NuFunk singer-songwriter & producer mntgmry (born Adam Montgomery Lampert) crafts soulful songs and energetic bops, enthusiastically integrating elements of Funk, Soul, & Hip-Hop.

After a decade producing and performing in various funk and rap groups (A Warrior Nation, Low Country Kingdom), heartfelt debut single “Imperfect Love” will be mntgmry’s first foray into individual artistry, scheduled for release on Valentine’s Day 2022.

The song was written as a proposal to his longtime girlfriend. She said YES!--but there was a serious wardrobe malfunction during the performance. Check out the video for details.

A 6-song EP will be released during the next six months, and each single will be paired with an additional B-side lofi instrumental. The first one is called “Sway,” a funky, smooth tune containing a vintage deep cut from an 80s funk instrumental.
